Yes, Let it sit 10 min or so is fine.

Sat, my wife, 2.5yr old are napping. My 10 month old and I are in the family room and he is in one of those Jolly Jumpers. As he`s bouncing up and down and spinning....he projectile vomits a 3 foot radius.

So I whipped out the shop vac and I mixed up the Oxy solution and added a good dab of Woolite. So I figured while I had everything out, I did the kitchen chair seats (that came out amazing). Wife came down screaming...WTF are you doing? She shut up tho :beer after she saw the kitchen chairs :beer

Sorry, I did not even think about taking before afters of my house detail.....

sean, nice article ,did you ever use enzyme cleaners? There a little pricey
    but it`s a good pre-spotter on soda,coffeeand blood. doesn,t work on grease
    like all purpose cleaner.

    all the best detail dave

detaildave: I have recently discovered a couple new products for this regimen.

I PM`d Dwayne about re-enabling the edit button for me but never got a response.

I am currently using Hi-Temp Protein Stain remover which makes a mockery of protein based stains. I mix it with an APC and pre-treat with 303 Spot Remover or Folex.

    Thanks for the tip though

Instead of having an arsenal of spot removers, try using Goop Hand Cleaner. Yes, the stuff my dad used after working on a grimy engine to clean his hands. This stuff is super cheap-- ~$1 for a 14 oz. can at Walmart. Apply the Goop to the dry stain and work it in. The longer you leave it the better it works. Then rinse with water or launder as usual. It will remove ink, tar, blood, grease, you name it... It is also the best stain remover for clothes and makes Shout and other pretreatments seem like over-priced sissies. It`s available in much larger quantities too for the overly messy folks out there.

I can`t say enough good things about it and no I don`t work for the company that makes it. I saw this tip on a PBS fund drive show and believe me it works. My wife hand a brand new pair of slacks that she left a tube of chapstick in the pocket. They went thru the dryer and then she discovered the baked in greasy stains all over her new pants. We figured we would give the Goop a shot and it removed all the spots and saved the day.

Interesting. Does is every cause any bleach spots? I may give it a run on some areas I don`t really care too much about before using it exclusively, but thanks for the heads up.

    Sean,
Where do you get Hi-Temp Protein Stain Remover? Is it really good at getting protein stains? I have been looking for a new stain remover.

    Thanks,
    Matt

Goop will not cause bleach spots because it doesn`t contain any bleach. It is non-toxic and biodegradeable, too. It uses a long chain hydrocarbon to emulsify and help lift the stain.

    GSRStilez,
As usual you give some of the best advice around! I got some of the Hi Temp Protein Stain remover and went to town on some food stains in a minivan today. I don`t have pictures but lets just say that some milk (i believe it was milk) stains were crying uncle. The cleaning power is just ridiculus. Good call as usual!

I used Sean`s process last weekend with outstanding results. I appreciate the time it took to write the article and share it with the forum. I am looking forward to doing my other car soon! :beer
