    Mytee Firebird Steamer, good value?

Looking to get into steam for interiors & misc as a lot of my customers have asked for it.

Iv`e been kind of lost on finding information or reviews for the Mytee VS1500 Firebird Vapor Steamer and looking to see if anyone has one, and could share his/her opinions on it? My limit is $400 so this is in budget, i`m not buying the VX5000 because I just can`t afford it right now.

I just ordered one today, so Ill let you know in a few days. For a steamer in that price range, it has the best power ratings. Also, if its built anything like their extractors are, its bulletproof. Theres really not any reviews or feedback out there as of yet so I kinda feel like Im swimming in uncharted waters with it, but Im sure its gonna be a great machine. My only fallback so far is that Im not sure yet if it comes with the triangle attachment that most detailers rely on more than any other. I dont know why these companies cant get it right when it comes to including that damn attatchment, but its not a deal breaker on this machine since the price and mobility make up for it. Good luck in your decision.

so i have to ask how is the steamer holding up?

any regrets? also, have you tried it on carpet?

the price also seems fair but i`d hate to regret that type of purchase

    thanks

Mine is still going strong. Ive done 8 or 10 RV interiors with it and 20 or 30 vehicles with absolutely no issues. Steamers like this one isnt great for carpets. An extractor is still needed in most cases. I knew this going in, so I wasnt disappointed about it. If your looking for a steamer that is also great for carpets and stuff like that, get ready to cough up some money.

Can you refill this unit before it is empty and cooled down?

No. Thats another feature your only going to find on the higher end units. It does last a good while on a single tank though. I can usually get through an interior on less than a tank, but naturally it depends on the size and condition of the vehicle. Refilling really isnt a big deal. I rarely follow the suggestion of letting it cool down before refilling, but I cant suggest anyone doing that because you can get burned easily if you arent careful. I just dont have time to waste waiting for it to cool down.
