    Suede Care

Okay, so I just bought a new Acura TSX Special Edition last weekend and it has leather bolsters on the seats, with suede inserts. This was the main reason I wanted the car actually, I really like the look and the feel. Anyway, I`ve never had anything but leather in my cars and normally use either Zaino for regular cleaning/conditioning or Leatherique.

But, I`ve never had to clean suede. Any suggestions on products? It`s perfect now, but I`m sure there will be a time when I need to get a stain off.

    Thanks in advance!

Leather Master makes a Foam Cleaner and a Nubuck Eco-Protect liquid spray that I use on my Alcantara Inserts in my `09 Grand Cherokee. It also has Leather side panels and top and bottom panels. so I know what you are talking about there.

There are other products probably out there, but I prefer to use really good safe for the material products on my cars and especially my Clients` rides.

Nice, thank you. Yeah, I don`t like to skimp on cleaning materials for my cars. Yeah, I have the same material on the doors as well.

    IMHO

I`d just use a good suede shoe/leather coat cleaner.

    but

I think it would be wise to see if has been pre-treated with something from the factory

Yeah, that`s a good idea, I will have to give my salesman a buzz.

Awesome, thanks! And, you know what, I think I actually have both of those already. I have a couch that I bought when I graduated college, 13 years ago, that cost me an arm and a leg (got a signing bonus and didn`t know how much couches were supposed to cost), that is NuBuck leather and I am pretty sure that`s the same stuff I bought for it.

    Thanks again!

After you have it clean, i would protect it. autopia/ag sells stoners (at least i think its stoners) protectant.

similar to scotch guard, but hopefully tougher for repeated abuse

Thanks, that`s a very good idea, especially with kids.

The most natural way is to steam it. I use a steamer with demineralized water , whats also a save way to clean it.

Willing to bet most enthusiasts don`t own that type of machine, though. It`s nice that dr Beasley has this product. Waiting to see if it works as advertised. It would be an easy way to do it without a steamer.
