Presentation when doing an interior detail

I`m a firm believer that presitation makes a huge difference when giving keys back to customer. Just a little extra that others don`t do to set you apart. This customer picked this up and was soooo happy I put stripes in the carpet and they were dry. Apparently last place that did his car left it soaking and it got mildewy lol.

Takes 10 min to stripe carpet.

    Thanks for looking

I am not questioning your work,it looks flawless. But what is the insistence on the tracks in the carpet? I do a lot of cars that go to shows. They lose points for that, and I like to do away with any evidence of someone owning the car. In other words it should look new.

For a show car yeah I would skip that part lol. But in general I get a great response from customers when they see this

It`s like the stripes on a baseball field. I do it too, love it.

After you shampoo the carpets you use a carpet brush and make stripes going different directions with the brush.

I like the strips...Ive even seen a checkered board on the carpet. When I give the keys back to the customer, I have a thank you note with a pic of their car and thanking them for their business with a nice gourmet piece of choclate waiting for them.

    Great job Joe !!!

I think that most people see that pattern and figure out in their heads that you really DID go very carefully and thoroughly over their carpeting to bring it to that look.

And yes, I also love to see a freshly cut field in a pattern ! The way they do it is they drag a weighted roller across every other swath they cut.

If you ever go early enough to watch the guys cut Golf Greens, they do a perfectly as possible 90 degree cut across the first cut, which gives it a pattern too, but more importantly, cuts the bentgrass as perfectly straight across, so the ball rolls smoother and truer.

I am glad to see that you also like to bring the Client into your brightest lit room or if you have the full sun, use that.

If we are really confident in our finished product, then there is nothing better than seeing it looking great in the best lighting available.

I am lucky to be able to do this every time I finish a job. Clients are always stunned!

    Dan F
