Nice job. Could it be that the OPC soften up the scum making it easier for the Mother`s to work?

I don`t think so. The OPC was only taking off the top layer not really getting down into it. There was hardly any color change in the solution.

The black color seems to be uneven in the photo.

Are you talking about in the sixth photo? If so then yes it does appear to be a bit shinier toward the rear of the arm rest and there are two reasons for this. One, because the front of the arm rest is where the tarry substance was heaviest and it was scrubbed more than the rear of the arm rest. That is shown in pic #3. Two, the picture was concentrated on the front of the arm rest and so was the flash.

I will also add that the next day the arm rest was cleaned again because the front to back became more evident once the conditioner had soaked into the cleaner area.

NO it`s not sweat geez DC

From what she was saying it sounds to me like the swirl O matic guys use the same applicator on the interior trim as they do on the tires and from what I got off of her tires it pretty much looks the same.

So that explains it! Its hard to beleive someone would do such a thing!
