A game changer for my detailing arsenal and beyond?

I`m pretty excited about a purchase I`m making tomorrow and wanted to share it with you all and see possibly if anyone else on here had one of these.

It`s a Dupray Carmen Super Inox Steam Cleaner/Extraction system. It`s continuous refill with both boiling water and super-heated detergent injection. Pressure is adjustable up to 105 psi and the steam is 355 deg F in the boiler.

I`m not a salesperson, just giving out some vital stats since I would imagine most of you would want to know.

I`m really hoping this will be a game changer for my detailing business by increasing my productivity and quality while decreasing operating costs in the long run. I plan to use it anywhere I can (interior, wheels, engine, around trim and body gaps and emblems, and more) plus I plan to expand The Gloss Boss, LLC into a commercial/residential steam cleaning business as well. I`ve already built a considerable interest just by networking with a few people about my plans!

    Thanks for reading!

Congrats on the major purchase Kris. Those things are NOT cheap. Look into a general insurance policy and hit up day cares and doctors offices. I used to do some of them around the area and made some good money at it. Good luck with the machine. Just don`t put me out if business with it

Thanks Nate! I`d rather merge with your business as opposed to trying to run you out!

Congrats on the purchsase. I know of one successful detailer who leased one of those hospital monitoring systems that read bacteria levels in the interior and would offer a special "sanatizing treatment" for the interior which promised to leave the interior "sterile and safe for children." He would steam the interior then print out the before and after results.

He used to charge $300 dollars, and my marketing correctly to his target demographic (soccer moms with disposibale income) he made/is making a fortune. Turn around time- Less then 2 hours. Labor costs: 20 dollars. Gross Profit: 140 per hour.

i have one and love it. sucks up water better than i thought it would and does a great job as a stand alone carpet cleaner. i still pull out my mytee for bigger carpet jobs. biggest plus is wife has fallen in love with it for doing the kitchen and bath floors. i did have to lightly sand the end of the suction hose to attach it easily. small price to pay for a great machine. I actually loaned it to my neighbor to do his daughters ugly mini van interior. 3 minute explanation and i had to leave. no sweat he finished and it looked great. suggest you use a 20 amp circuit if possible. have fun with it , it is a great advertisement to customer that you are serious.

Hopefully this would be the only thing I would ever need for interiors. I got the BioVap degreaser for the detergent injection in case I do get something real nasty. For $5k it better clean anything!
