    Mods,

I`m reorganizing the Tips forum. Please don`t post in the two sub-forums I have created until further notice and instruction.

    Cheers!

Okay gang, here`s what I`m planning to do...

The majority of people hang out in the forum. It makes sense, because that`s where the action is. Problem is, people don`t look past the end of their nose to find things. So, I`m gong to move all of the original Autopia articles into the forum database. I`m also going to reorganize the "Car Care & Maint" forum into its own area.

When I`m finished, the forum itself will become the home page. It will take a few days... maybe a week... for me to complete. If you have any suggestions or comments I`d appreciate your feedback.

I wouldn`t do it. The agitator might damage them as they fold over. You`ll get better results from scrubbing by hand with APC and rinse with hose or pressure washer.

Maybe he has a front loading machine.

    My method is:

    1. Vacuum
    2. Wet with APC+ 8 to 1 solution
    3. Agitate with brush
    4. Rinse with strong stream of water
    5. Hang to dry

Dont use washer may cause problems with backing

the rubber backing can deteriorate in washer with tumbling or agitation. Ditto to what MR. Gloss said this method works well. here is a detailed process by Todd posted recently on this forum--explains the importance of an extra step in rinsing for best results.:2 cents:
