This is depressing. I had the Blackfire on for three days and now... it snowed! Wet, sloppy crud mixed with salt and sand sprayed all over the vehicle and no point in trying to wash it off just yet.

So far the general look is still good in comparison to other vehicles around, like the crud is not adhering to the BlackFire. I saw this in my second day with Blackfire when I dusted it off after it dried from driving in the rain/mist and it cleaned right up.

So far I am delighted with my choice for the winter protection, and just as SOON as it makes sense to rinse it off I will let you know how it looks --> and maybe post some before/after pictures.

Sounds like Blackfire is a good product for us Northerners.

So many great revies for Blackfire now. I don`t think I`ve heard a negative comment yet. In fact, all reviews seem to indicte that BF is as good if not better in all conceivable areas than Klasse. Pretty impressive!

    Don2000g & waxman,
Here is a follow up on my original observations (as requested by DK!)

It might actually get above freezing today, so I may try to do a decent wash and see how it comes out.

    2001 Audi S4 leather care

I`m a rookie to leather, and I want to be sure I take care of it right. A few questions:

1.Is it really leather, or some other form of pleather, or whatever?
2.I have a 15 month old daughter, and for the most part she is not really abusing it, but it has a few milk spots on it. What`s the proper method I should use to clean/condition it?
    3.How often should I clean/condition it?
4.Lexol is the only brand I know in leather care, and I like that they specialize in leather, but I don`t want to be closed to others, so is Lexol the best for me and my situation? If so, what products do I need?

If it matters, its black leather, I live in Ga., have tinted windows(20%), always park in the garage at home, and at work.

I have been a long-time purchaser from PAC, and have recommended it to a few of my friends, keep up the good work Kruer family and co.

    1st off welcome to TruthInDetailing

2nd baby girl is not ruining your leather/pleather by burpin up a lil milk every now and again. Try wyping it up with a damp towel. If that doesn`t budge it add a lil APC(10:1)to it

3rd I also like Lexol. There cleaner is worthless, but there conditioner is da bomb IMPO. There are others such as Connellys Hyde Food, Leathertique that work great as well

4th Having your windows tinted is a great idea for protecting your leather and baby girl. Garage parking day and night is great as well

    Hope to see you around

    Welcome to TID Scott.

I agree with Flash 100%. Nothing more to add. That pretty much covers it.

    Silk nappa leather
*I don`t have the sport interior with the alcantra inserts

I will try and take some pics on Sunday.

Suggestions on which products I need to buy? I have owned the car for a little over a year now, and I believe the previous owner did take care of the interior, for the most part, I don`t have too many complaints.
    -cleaner(Optimum Leather Protectant?)
    -conditioner(Lexol? which product specifically?)
    -something else?
