My wife is considering a BMW 325i. Where can I find a good forum to discuss the 325i?

http://www.bimmerforums.com is great too. Bimmer.org`s forum is okay, but is really messy.

    I agree with Hellrot.

Although I haven`t been on the boards for quite some time now, bimmer.org has been riddled with punks and @$$es for some time now and have ruined it.

Bimmerfest sprung up as a result of people that were tired of all the tom foolery.

None of the boards have people that are as helpful as the ones you find here

Hehehe, sorta funny. A thread over a year old gets revived and as a result, more than twice the replies fly in... along with a mod editing a post that`s 13 or so months old.

There is also the http://www.digest.net/bmw/ I have not used it myself, but I have used the Alfa (Romeo) Digest for the last 5 years or so and it is very very good.

    Odor removal

I haven`t seen any threads on deodorizers or the like and wondered what you guys like. A couple of my old cop cars, for example, have had that `lived in` smell - stale coffee, sweat, fear (?!), you know the usual stuff.

Aside from thorough cleaning, is there anything to give a nice fresh scent afterwards?

Ozium is an option, though it is an air sanitizer, so the effects are extremely temporary.

As you mention, a thorough cleaning of all carpeted and upholstered areas is the first order. This would include vacuum, and probably shampooing. Allow the areas to fully air dry, with as much forced air flow as possible. You can then follow with products like Febreze. I prefer to use products from OdoBan, X-O, or a product using activated charcoal or zeolite.
