Help removing paint/dye on leather seats?

So the previous owner of my car painted the original black leather seats with a gray color and I`m trying to remove the gray. I`ve tried using a Mr Clean magic eraser and while its working, at the rate I`m going at, it might take me a year to finish it. Anyone know of an easier way or perhaps a magic solvent that might make the process easier? Thanks for any help!

Hmm, not really sure. Do you have a polisher? You can get a brush for the polisher and maybe use some deep plastic cleaner on it.

If you have a steam cleaner try that with a terry cloth towel wrapped around it.

I do. Maybe I`ll try this. Thanks.

I have a steam mop. It would be awkward, but maybe worth a shot too. Thanks.

Its definatley dye (or paint). The original stock seats are black and the gray is very obvious painted only on the front sides. Its rubbed off on the heavy use areas of the drivers side.

This is probably the most proper way to change the color of the seats... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uoJvdEBYIUA
