Recommend me a good vinyl (dash/door panels) product

    Hello everyone,

I haven`t been on here in years and years. Got a c5 corvette and I want to take care of her

I saw the leather care product that is sticky`d and that`s pretty amazing! I will definitely get that for the seats, however I am really out of ideas of what to use that`s good for the dash, center console and door panel vinyl... I used a few products and they leave a dry look to the dash and I am afraid it may dry the dash out even more...

Would be nice to rejuvenate the vinyl of the dash and panels...

Would love to hear some suggestions. Btw, I am in ontario canada.

You`ll get a hundred different suggestions. I`ve been using Optimum Leather Protectant (aka Protectant Plus) for years on my 10 year old Passat and the interior surfaces look new. It was designed for today`s coated leather and vinyl so you can use it on the entire interior. It has mild cleaners as well as protectant, but most importantly it is really user friendly so you can do the entire interior in a snap. Just spray onto a MF applicator or towel and wipe on the surface--no need to buff off.

    Einszett (1-Z) Cockpit Premium Spray..

Apply with the softest microfiber towel very carefully, and it will take care of your clear plastic dash panel/gauges covers, and the Navigation screens beautifully...
Leaves a very soft matte finish on the Dash and doors, that smells great and has never damaged anything in my use for over a decade...

303 or Wolfgang Vinyl and Rubber Protectant. I like the Wolfgang stuff because it cleans and protects and lasts a couple of months. 303 is the longtime champ, but I find myself reaching for the Wolfgang more often now.

Been using Poor Boys Natural Look recently and really like it. I like that it cleans and protects in one step (assuming your interior isn`t gross to begin with).

I like that it doesn`t streak.

I like that it`s easy to use

I like that it`s not shiny

I like that it`s not sticky

I like that it smells nice

    I like that it`s cheap

I like that you don`t have to buff it down

I like the bottle it comes in

I like the people at PBs contribute to this forum

    I like that it`s blue

I like that it`s thick, so you don`t have to spray it and get it all over

I like that it`s been out for years and never has caused an issue

I like that I know it`s easy to always order more

I like that you don`t have to use a lot and a bottle lasts forever

All good points Swanic. I`ve got to try some. I wish I could buy a sampler of all of PBs product (hint, hint). Their feedback here on Autopia has been invaluable.

    poorboys natural look

    Poorboy

    cleans and protects

also I believe it has biocides or something in it , which i`m sure is a good thing

I wouldn`t use anything else personally, although my clients get my other (not so favorite) dressing products which are perfectly fine for them- PERL, Megs D114 (their QID version in case I got the number wrong)- blackfire interior protectant (v1) has some serious shine but I replaced my natural look with it on my car and I kind of regret it (a little too shiny for my liking)

I think Poorboy said he uses Leather Stuff on his dash because he likes the look over natural look

actually I think I will buy another bottle today now that I think about it

Meguiars Natural Shine......non-greasy, leaves a nice (very) low shine finish....very inexpensive (under 5.00 at WalMart) and available OTC...at least here in the States
