I cleared the cookies in Firefox the other day and when I come back here and login on the main page, I`m not shown as being logged in.

But as soon as I go to the forums page it shows me as logged in.

    Strange..

set your bookmark to http://autopia.org instead of http://www.autopia.org and all should be fine.

it has to do with the way that vBulletin is installed (the forum software that DavidB uses) and the way that firefox handles cookies. I was having the same problems with Autopia and MOL when I first switched to Firefox and Opera (Opera behaves like firefox in this case).

For those curious as to why ---

the cookies are created for autopia as belonging to "autopia.org" and not "www.autopia.org". when you visit the website using the URL "www.autopia.org" Internet Explorer is smart enough to link the cookie to the URL even though they don`t match exactly. Firefox and Opera treat the URL literally and won`t match the URL to the cookie because they don`t match exactly.
