I hear ya`
My part of my kid`s laptop for college was $350 (split between me, his mom and her mother), not to mention my share of his books, dorm deposit, etc....and he has a pretty good scholarship!
Have you considered buying books from half.com?
No, because I never know what books I need until I walk into the bookstore
I feel your pain. Graduated 10 yrs later, I am still paying my college loan. Almost done.
Yikes, I don`t think I`ve ever spent that much on books at once! But, I know that feeling, I just paid off all the books I charged last year and I start school again on Sept. 29th.
My wife is a pharmacist and we had several semesters where the books were $7-800. I had a few semesters where the books were over $500 when I was getting my Master`s.

I see a couple of `clothing` items in there. Do they make you dress for the class as well? :LOLOL

I`m guessing the clothing items are the scrubs at right in the picture.

What`s really sad is the $3 you get when you sell em back. Has to be the worst scam ever.

And those are scrubs. Oh the joys of elastic waist pants.
Boy I remeber those days.....my wife finished nursing school about 18 months ago.
Is your program 2 or 4 years? Do you need a four year degree to practice nursing there? Man, the schooling seemed tough to me, it`s no cakewalk. Good luck!!!

My biology books alone for this semester were $225. Not to mention the other $350 I had already spent. It can definitely depress you quickly.
Is that a watch I see? Did you need to buy a certain watch for the class?
What are you going for, RN, LPN etc?
Insert witty quip here...
