Hey, can anyone tell me who sang the "Star Spangled Banner" on Sunday before the start of the MotoGP race at Laguna Seca?
If you missed it, the guy forgot his words half way through, um`ed and ah`ed, said "Jesus" then picked it up again.

I didn`t see that part, but what a race huh? I mean, Valentino Rossi didn`t win! How remarkable!
But seriously, it was nice to see Nicky Hayden pull one off, especially here.
I`ve never seen Rossi be so laid back.
I guess Rossi didn`t see the need in pushing hard after Milandri went down
and also maybe he thought that it would be good for the sport if Hayden won in his home market,This would boost the excitement for future MotoGP races in the states.

I`m sorry, but that is absolutely HILARIOUS!Originally Posted by Hemi57

Yeah, I just really got a kick out of the way Hemi57 described it. I kinda feel bad for the guy, because its not like he didn`t know the song, he was just very nervous.
If you are a singer who gets nervous in front of crowds, a televised stadium event is not the gig for you.
I can`t imagine making a mistake like that. Screwing up your national anthem with a tv audience of more than 300,000,000 is something he`ll never live down.
A well-prepared surface will make any wax look good.
