Great way to prevent spyware and other naughty things from entering your PC

I have found a great link to help further prevent spyware and evilness from hijacking your PC.

I insatlled that HOSTS file along with Spybot and SpywareBlaster. When I ran it, I found a few pieces of spyware that I had no idea I had and I`m pretty tech savy.



If you insatll the HOSTS file, you`ll get all of the advertisements that pop up in web pages like on MSN and CNN, etc.. blocked. You`ll see if you install it.



This is great!



Be sure to read all the instructions and follow what they say. If you are NOT tech savy, I would refrain from doing this unless you get help.

Looks good ... I will check it out. Another good tip to prevent spyware, get rid of internet explorer. Mozilla Firefox is a web browser based on netscape if I remember correctly. It`s got a built-in popup blocker thats almost flawless. Its also very powerful because you can install external plugins of all sorts. Check it out at http://www.getfirefox.com
