    Christmas House Lights??

Most of my neighbors last weekend put Christmas lights on their houses. We are doing ours this weekend as I needed a extension ladder that I did not have.

However this last week I`ve noticed that some of my neighbors leave their lights on all night long. I`ve always been under the impression that these lights where not meant to burn for long periods of time. Maybe that`s something that my parents told me. My thoughts are, I don`t one want to waste the electricity, or leave them on for who? the paper guy or street sweeper.
Maybe I`m a bit paranoid about them shorting out and catching fire. I guess I just don`t see the reason for leaving them on all night.

    Anyone else?

    Re: Christmas House Lights??

My family has always turned them off late at night. We have always paid a higher electricity bill for December as well. Do you want to play 2 times the normal amount for December? Or 3 or 4 times the normal amount? lol

I think that most of the lights are fine if they are left on for a long time though.
