    Very Depressing!

Shopping cart from, of all places, The Dollar Tree store (looking for those tire wipes and cheapy mf`s).

As always, I parked way away from anyone. An eyewitness told me he saw the cart start rolling, picked up speed with a pretty good wind behind it. The fact the parking lot was slanted downhill toward my F-150 didn`t help either.

I guess the cart just gained speed and blasted it.

Big dent, right on the bottom horizontal crease of the door.

One "Fix a dent" type saw it and told me I`m screwed...

    here`s a look...

Sorry about what happened. Take it as a lesson and park uphill from carts, or at least protected by landscape or a curb.

Don`t you just hate the scumbage who can`t walk their fat a**es 50 feet to put their carts in the proper place? Instead of getting a job to collect and organize the carts at the local shopping area, I think I`m going to collect the carts and bombard the guilty partys` cars with them.

I saved an XLR from getting nailed last week in a parking lot. I think God was happy :lol

Thats terrible! I got a ding the other day right underneath the passenger`s window, an inch higher and it would have shattered the window.

Get some other opinions from PDR places. I know my dent guy could fix that, I`ve seen him fix worse. Its going to be expensive, $2-300 probably but I bet you can find somebody who will fix it.

I headed straight for my guy when I found that ding and he had me good to go the next morning.

:angry Crap like that just burns my *ss.

Just today I was getting back in my 3 day old 4runner at the store, some guy was loading his truck w/ groceries and I thought he hit my truck w/ the cart. I called him out on it. I walked over and said, "did you just hit my truck with your cart"? He said No, and I walked over to inspect.... didn`t find any damage. I could of swore he hit it:nixweiss

He could fix it for $150.

It`s funny. The first couple of dent guys I went to said "no way."

Went back to the dealer to investigate the body shop options with them and my service manager recommended another guy who is supposed to be very good.

We`ll see. He will get the truck next Thursday.

One thing that really pissed me off about that parking lot...no cart corrals in the lot! ***?

Buncha carts rolling around on a downhill lot...wind gusts to 25mph...geez I`m a dumbass for going there!

    :doh

    I was thinkin`...

I have had this truck since Sept. `04.

Proboably have 25 coats of waxs, sealers, etc. on it.

    Looks fab.

The "assaulting" cart left a pretty good dent, but DID NOT chip the paint. No damage to the paint at all.

I wonder if multipule layers of waxes, etc. had anything to do with that.

The Dent guy that is going to fix it was surprised the paint wasn`t damaged...h-m-m-m-m?
