    Classic Cars

This is a guy that sells calssic cars of all sorts here in Sonoma County. I have him looking at some cars a buddy has to sell.

The 65 Ranchero pickup has caught my eye and I`m thinking about that as my next car.

    What do you guys think?

Sweet looking Ranchero , how kool would it be showing up to detail a customers car in that . That guy has some seriously sweet cars . I like the 55 Caddy and the 56 Sedan Delivery . Not a bad price for the Ranchero , I noticed its on Ebay . Good luck

If it is what you want, then go for it!
You might want to make sure the price is right, (probably is), so you aren`t buried in it. If you buy a nice old car at a fair price and take good care of it, depreciation is almost non-existent.
And yes, they often appreciate, but investing in cars is kinda risky. Buy `em cause you like them and want them, not because you think you will make any money on them.

Also, buying one that is finished is usually a better situation financially unless you can do all the work youself. I have only ever done one and the cost gets out of control in a hurry. Once you start, you have too much invested to quit or else you really take a beating. So what you do is complete everything, then take your beating on the finished product.
For a guideline: Take you best estimate for restoring the vehicle, triple that figure and you shouldn`t be more than a couple thousand short.

That would make a sweet detail unit !!

If ya do get it, I have a friend who owns an "All Ford" auto dismanteling yard -- so if ya need some parts (like most old cars do) I`ll be happy to help.
A happy customer tells a friend ... An unhappy one tells many friends !!!

Gim-me a car with finns... :naughty and I`ll shows ya what detailin`s all about... :jump
