This one is for you Wheelz. Thanks for suggesting The Bruery, I picked this one up at BevMo yesterday. I`m having this one right now and damn is it tasty. I was going to stop by The Bruery after golf today in Dana Point but finished the round a little later than expected. After trying this I should have still went! I guess the plus side of not going is I would have spent way too much money there haha

You have to try Rue D`Floyd and Bemangoed at the Bruery, solid beers.

Also try Beachwood up in Long Beach. So many breweries now in Orange County

edited because I realized you wrote Pirate bomb...no we didn`t get any of those, just the Prairie Bomb, which we had been trying to get for quite a while now

    Re: Beer

I`m definitely on board with good beer consumption but I`m a fairly moderate drinker, five to eight 12 or 16 ounce beers is my typical weekly consumption. Saisons, hefeweizens, Belgian pale ales and American pale ales and India Pale ales are my favorite styles. I`ve had Saison Rue and like it although it would not be among my four or five favorite saisons. Prairie only kinda, sorta, has distribution in Maine and we don`t get Cooked Stave, Funkwerkz, Tired Hands, Jester King, the Bruery, Boulevard, Logsdon, etc. through normal distribution channels. Some of those reach Massachusetts which makes them slightly easier to obtain. Hill Farmstead (and Lawson`s Liquids and the Alchemist) means a four-and-a-half hour plus drive each way unless you have a friend bring some back. Personally, the vast majority of American saisons I`ve had don`t particularly impress me. Give me Dupont, De Glazen Toren, Fantome and de Blaugies over most of the American attempts, especially when they cost less as they often do.

I still do not think I have even seen them. This is one I had last night. First impression wasn`t great but after a couple sips I really enjoyed it.
