I was fine since I didn`t keep drinking too fast. I think that`s all it is. Every once in a while I just take shot after shot and don`t let the alcohol kick in. So I think im good, then an hour later I realize im in trouble. Im on the hunt for a very nice scotch or whisky to buy that I can just sip on properly and enjoy the night. got some Buchanans, which is alright. per Ralfy from youtube I would like to try Balblaire `02. Was his 2013 whisky of the year.
Pacing isn`t my strong point either. I put all drinks down fast. If I am trying to slow down my beers might last me an extra 2-5 mins tops. I`m still looking for a good whiskey too. I don`t care for any of the Johnny Walker I`ve had so far Red, Black and Green. Too sweet. Also had, Cutty & Stark, Buchanans, Jack, Gentlemans Jack, Jack Single Barrel, Jameson and some other cheap ones. Jameson is the one I always go back to and like the most but I want to find a special occasion whiskey.

I remember those days. Wait until you wake in naked in a closet in a house you don`t know owned by people you never met. Or, you wake up in another state with no wallet - an oddly no shoes.

    :no more:

never say never my friend. its basic physiology and biology, you literally can only have so much, which you are unfortunately painfully aware of.

I`ve been there but thankfully never lost my shoes or woke up in a strangers house (well, maybe not the latter but I can`t say that was not a good turn of events-ha) but either way take this from a guy who runs a liquor store (for the past 2.5 years)...the people who come in for `good` `quality` stuff are a much different breed than the rest of the herd.

I`m not trying to get all preachy but I feel a sense of community with everyone on this website because I know we are a rare breed of people given what we `choose` to do for a living or even have an admitted OCD towards doing...so just enjoy in moderation. Experiment with different beers (even out of your comfort zone) and find something that you would rather enjoy than consume.

If you want some good whiskey recommendations PM me I would be happy to share what "knowledge" I have from being within the industry. I can give you some opinions. Looks like you have been trying lots of Irish, Scotch, Irish Whiskeys, Scotch Whiskeys, Jack-which has a taste of it`s own simply due to the process by which it`s made.

There are some pretty good whiskeys made in Texas (Ranger Creek out of San Antonio is phenomenal, TX Whiskey (but 40 creek double barrel is better than TX).

A lot of you guys drink unique beers. LOL

I`m a simple guy, I prefer Pabst Blue Ribbon...in a can. I do like Corona, Sol, Red Stripe and I`ll drink a Stella when I`m feeling `fancy`. Otherwise, gimme a PBR and I`m happy.

    Re: Beer

Had the Coffee Stout with my lunch today. Holy wow was that good. Definitely going to buy a couple next time I go back to that store. Going to have the Iron Maiden one tonight. I used to be a big Maiden fan so there was no way I could pass that up.

After seeing the price of beer these days, one bottle of craft beer will pay for a lot of washing with a premium priced soap and using a foam cannon. Wine is another story.

I`ve been into Shock Top apple wheat ale of late. Availability is sometimes limited but its excellent. Touch of apple, but still tastes like beer.

After drinking enough red plastic cups of Meisterbrau out of kegs in college to keep an elephant drunk for a decade, I have come to appreciate much smaller quantities of good craft beer now.
