True. But like any tool, you have to use it properly.

Anyone wondering why...hmmm... None of the looters or rioters weren`t at work? Wasn`t this uprising in the middle of the week?

Maybe if these people had to work to eat - they wouldn`t have time for such nonsense.

Dunno.... if I`m going to participate in a riot, it`s gonna have to be on a Sunday...

    Corrected per some news narrative.

Swanicyouth- I too often wonder why rioters don`t have better things to do, but OTOH when somebody (genuinely) feels that they`re fighting against a Major Societal Injustice I can see that deserving prioritizing too.

But heh heh, yeah...the [individuals] who trash LEO vehicles (with no good reason, and it`s hard for me to imagine one in today`s USA) might think twice about trying that on Armor. But "Molotov cocktails" come to mind..endless escalation is unlikely to end well and I have issues with the Militarization of LE, which I`ve seen reach too-scary-to just be ridiculous levels. E.g., traffic stops involving suburban housewives that look unnecessarily like a SWAT exercise.

[The thought occurs- gee, doesn`t Accumulator have something better to do that waste time/bandwidth discussing... ]

Ronkh- The discussion of certain Abstract Concepts defies shallow consideration, I oughta know better. "Respect for State-sanctioned Authority" falls into that category for me. Especially with regard to those who put themselves in harm`s way.

    Maybe we need "reprisals"....

    A city is looted....

    ...."Hear ye... Hear ye....

All State and Federal entitlements are being withheld and applied to our city`s damage until the damage is paid for"....

    Marshal Law is enacted.

    The military is brought in.

    The checks stop rolling.

There needs to be strict consequences for this type of nonsense...Otherwise, I see more of it in our future.

    Maybe.

But they can`t pay for the damage....

if it was frowned on by their community - maybe they would stay in line.....

Pledge to cut off the checks - and you will stop this nonsense

As I alluded to previously, I don`t think workers and homeowners have any time for this type of behavior

Maybe I can join you there, But my schedule is awful full. Work 65-75 hours a week monday through Saturday 51 weeks a year (Aruba for the one week I take off), Maybe I can do it on one those 3 day weekends I hear about that could be a while last time I actually had one was freshmen year in High School I`m lucky to get a few Saturdays off a year. I could do a Sunday but most those are either doing Fishing tourney`s or detailing my cars or house work (all of which I would rather do then be involved in that farce). Maybe when I retire at around 70 I can make it to one those with you. Man being a good upstanding tax paying citizen really takes up all my time.

True. At least it`s peaceful, so far. But it`s a shame seeing soldiers with M4`s and armored humvee`s protecting American streets from Americans.
