It`s also easy to get caught up in a caravan of cars and not realize how fast your going. It`s not unusual to be in a line of cars going 85-90 and have your car begging for more.
Caravans of cars all going 80mph has been the normal in California for decades..
This is the norm even at rush hour..
You just have to be careful because that same speeding caravan sometimes is seen on TV as the 25-car pileup thing...

And as far as driving fast in Texas - After you come in from El Paso on Interstate-10, heading east and south to San Antonio, there is a long stretch almost all the way where the Speed Limit IS 80mph!!!
So if you add in the extra 10, well, there you have it...

The toll road is 85 from austin to san antonio
Highest speed limit in usa IIRC

Drive it all the time and only seen a cop once and he was overtaking my SRT when I had the cruise on 93. Lol

Ron- Huh, I always figured it was for the trunk lid to clear even though I`d never read that (just a seemingly obvious, though incorrect, observation that I made as a Superbird owner).

    Hahahahahahhahaha

Russian intelligence and security services have been waging a campaign of harassment and intimidation against U.S. diplomats, embassy staff and their families in Moscow and several other European capitals that has rattled ambassadors and prompted Secretary of State John Kerry to ask Vladimir Putin to put a stop to it.

It was a very cool, once-per-lifetime experience driving it across the country post-purchase (I was the right age for it). That was the highlight of owning it, and a hard act to follow.
