    Re: The "Really ?!?!?!?!" Thread

People are surrendering a lot of the information on the internet.

I suspect if the government wanted to know who had guns is they could find all the posts in forums, facebook, etc. and identify the userids of most of them and an easy hack of software to identify them. I suspect many gun owners are publicly proud and so leave a trail to follow for the government or others to follow..

I think the fact that the country would elect Trump is a reason for gun ownership. Freedom and rights are not guaranteed. I had recently seen the movie 7 Days in May and the rhetoric is still as relevant as ever.

    And talk about hacking....

Heard a commercial today, some sort of website where you put ALL your bank accounts, savings, investment, mortgage, you name it. Claimed that it`d be easy to track, even keep a daily tab of your "net worth".

    EXCUSE ME.... but HOLY CRAP!!!!!!

With hacking farms in China, Russia, Asia, and the Middle East running 24/7, how long do you think it`d be before they got ALL your money?

Might as well give all your money to those idiots that keep calling saying the IRS has filed suit against you.

Yeah, people post a *LOT* more Personal Info online [various topics] than I ever would.

..I think the fact that the country would elect Trump is a reason for gun ownership...
Plenty of folks would say that about the election of Hillary too.

I have seen this story about Chris Kyle several places. His discharge papers did not mention some medals.

REVEALED: Conservative hero ’American Sniper’ Chris Kyle grossly exaggerated his military record

Don`t know if this is accurate or not. One thing for sure, we won`t get to hear his take on it. It`s easy to besmirch the deceased.

Yes, it will take some time to see what the truth is but as we known the truth is just repeating enough to make it history or a movie that is not 100% actual fact.

Kyle was dead when the movie was made. The accuracy of movie is now his responsibility also? As with any story the people making the movie take liberties. As far as the medal count, it sounds as if there are problems with the accuracy going back to his release papers. One thing that is a fact is the Marines that served with him all say he saved their lives as well as got down kicking in doors to help train the younger guys instead of racking up his kill count on a rooftop. I have close friends that served with him that say he helped save lives. That in itself makes him a hero in my eyes.

    Re: The "Really ?!?!?!?!" Thread

About all these false emission reports, I always thought it was obvious that they`ve been lying when the MPG doesn`t add up so won`t the emissions.

For example, my old car claims 24+ MPG but I never got above 18MPG so clearly there are more emissions at 18MPG than the claimed 24MPG (what`s goes in must come out). I think emissions also change with DA but I could be wrong.

Basically, if you aren`t getting the claimed MPG or better your emissions will also be much higher than what the manufacturer claims.

What I`d like to know is if these emissions tests match up with the claimed MPG?

My Jeep SRT8 gets the 11MPG they claim or better so I`d assume my emissions also are near what was claimed (if my exhaust wasn`t modified). But if I drove a Prius the way I drive my SRT I`m sure the MPG would be way below what the claim and the actual emissions would be much higher than claimed as well.

My Mothers` 1.5t Ford Fusion is a great example, it should use much less gas than my 6.1L v8 (25mpg vs 11mpg) but when I drive it like I drive my SRT it gets way less MPG than it claims (more like 15MPG). So if the Ford Fusion takes 15MPG and my SRT takes 11MPG both with me driving clearly Ford is lying about their actual emissions.

Sigh... So somebody has nothing better to do that seek another Hero`s (*supposed*) feet of clay once he`s no longer here?!? So what he *unquestionably* did isn`t enough for a respectful, let alone grateful, posterity?!?

What on earth possesses somebody to expend their resources trying to sully his legacy? What`s the point, besides what any Freshman Psych student would suspect?

Here a very interesting article regarding Sen McAuliffe, Hillary Clinton, and that comb-over-bad-guy from China ---
Clinton Met McAuliffe`s Chinese Donor At Fundraiser | The Daily Caller

I just saw on the news, McAuliffe first denying he ever met him, and then saying, well, maybe I met him, etc....

So the President (?) is in Hiroshima placing a wreath and apologizing for the atomic bomb... what about Nagasaki?

Where/when did the Japanese apologize for starting the dang war by killing thousands at Pearl Harbor ??? I don`t remember hearing them apologize for that...

All I know for sure, is that standing over the Memorial at Pearl Harbor, looking down at the sunken warship, seeing the zillions of names on the walls of the building inside, is a very, very, moving experience when I thought about all those young men, perhaps some women, all taken out of their lives and families who would hear later that day, their boy or girl is not coming home alive...

From what I have seen and read, he sympathized but he did not apologize for what was done but that may not fit the narrative that the NY Post and others like.

I too had read that he was to stop short of an all out apology.
