    Re: Post your Car History

I`ll include my wife`s cars along the way, since I mostly paid for and definitely maintained `em anyway:

    - 1976 Datsun B-210 hatchback (4 speed, but couldn`t get out of it`s own way especially with the a/c on)

    - 1980 Toyota Corolla SR5 hatchback (solid car, couldn`t kill that 1.8 liter engine)

    - 1970 sumith` Toyota Corolla rustbucket (used for delivering pizza exclusively)

    - 1982 Toyota Celica GTS (wife`s car)

    - 1988 Nissan 200SX SE with the 3.0 V6 5 speed (my first new car, loved it). Handed it down to my wife and she ended up delivering pizzas in it, she loved the car too.

    - 1990 Honda Civic 4 door for my wife, good car but she didn`t like it. She was in her 20`s and still wanting something more sporty.

    - 1990 Nissan Pickup 4cyl, 5 speed. Bought it to pull my boat, big mistake.

    - 1995 Toyota T100 xtra cab to actually be able to pull my boat. My first automatic vehichle. Loved that truck, solid 19 - 20 mpg and perfect size.

    - 1992 Nissan Maxima SE (wife`s replacement, was more sporty than the civic). My first disappointment in a vehicle. Many small problems (power windows, locks), and the tranny started fading prematurely at like 80K. Sold it before it became a money pit.

    - 2002 Mazda MPV (current) for my wife. Has been a solid vehicle, no real problems except poor gas mileage. Great kid-hauler for the money. Really wanted a Honda Odyssey, but the deals on Mazdas were too good.

    - 2005 Mazda 6 hatchback, 4 cyl, 5 speed. Love this car : looks good, handles great, lotsa storage with the hatchback for the mountainbike, etc.. A little underpowered, but I have a long daily commute and I need economy over power. The 6 cyl version gets terrible mileage so I made the right choice.
