I would get the film build measured on that panel to make sure they did not remove excess clear, if they did your paint may fail down the road. :down

"Professionals" never cease to amaze me. [/b]</blockquote>
Showroom, yes actually I thought about my clear for a moment but didn`t let it bother me anymore, because I shouldn`t have the car anymore within 5 years and I believe the remaining clear should last at least this long. Or in worst case scenario, I`ll repaint the whole fender if necessary but I doubt that will be needed. At this time, I`ve removed all those marks successfully so it`s all good for now.

Put signs in the car eh? Very very good idea although when I go the dealer for an oil change I watch them drive my car in and then I go around to watch them do the oil change and then I watch them park the car and I walk with them as they return the keys.

I`m not a pest, I do it in a nice way, its more like "hey guys, you know I`m gonna watch you but I wont be a pest, just dont fudge with my car". They don`t mind, they enjoy talking to me about the SS anyhow.

You just need to be soooo careful around the cars, I even hint to them as they lean over the car to unscrew the oil filler cap NOT to touch the car, there isn`t any need to and it`ll save my sealent a long "touch up" session.

    Got thrown off a horse!

I`ve been learning to ride horses and its an absolute blast. Been working on trotting with no reins and no stirrups which takes a lot of control and balance because its very bouncy! Well my horse "Mozzart" is a Lipizzaner stallion (amazing creatures) and has been great so far. We`re still working on our communication though lol.

I was trying to get him to trot and after a couple tries, he finally picked up the speed. Usually he gently eases up the speed, but this time he jumped right to it and almost to a canter (faster than a trot, but slower than a gallop). I got a little off balance in the saddle and got tossed off. Hit my tailbone and back pretty hard, got the wind knocked out of me and a good set of scrapes on my arm (a little worse than it looks in the pics). But despite that, cleaned off the blood, disinfected it, bandaged, caught my breath and got back on and finished the lesson. Even with the fall, its great fun! Here`s a couple pics...

    Here`s my horse, Mozzart

Here is Mozzart with Benny (a thoroughbred) who I`ll be learning to jump and gallop with.

The indoor arena we are using

Aftermath from the fall. The massive bruises on my tailbone will likely be more impressive in a day or two lol.

I used to use this white horse :White Horse: in all my posts kind of as a signature. I stopped for a while, but now it actually fits. Trouble beat me to it.

I have ridden horses a few times, it really is a blast.

When I get him ready to ride, I have to groom him, and its a lot like detailing. Maybe I will make a detail thread on it! Thanks Todd!

    Jeff,
You must have detailed the saddle with BFWD to make it sooooo slippery.
    Glad you are okay though.

Lucky you landed on your backside and not your noggin.

My nephew is a Quarter horse trainer in Texas (mostly roping and heeling - he won Reserve World Champion at the World Quarter Horse Congress in OKC a couple of years back) and a year or so ago he took a major fall and landed on his head. At the end of the day he was still complaining of neck pain to his girlfriend, who`s father happens to be surgeon. They went to his office, got him x-rayed, and he was immediately put into an ambulance and sent off to Dallas to see a specialist. Turns out he`d essentially broken his neck, the sort of fracture that has one disc being displaced and sort of riding up onto the one above it. He had it corrected by the same guy who takes care of the Cowboys and Mavericks. He dodged a major bullet that day.

Funny how siblings can take vastly different directions in life. My brother (father of the nephew mentioned above) was a multi time World Champion trainer (Western Pleasure) and an AQHA certified judge. He had numerous articles published in a variety of horse journals, did judging and training all over the world.

I get on a horse and I`m baffled - no stick shift, no clutch..... I just don`t get how they work.

You think the $ goes quickly on detailing products? Wait til you see how quickly the $ disappears once you`re into horses! Been there, done that!!! Good luck. Glad you`re ok!
