Wow, that`s crazy!! With the exchange rate and all, you can pick one up from Toolmart for $110 USD which is ~$170 CAD. Nutso!!

As a Canadian who is now living in California, I remember that pretty much everything related to detailing comes at a premium to us Canadians. Heck, Meguiar`s products usually cost about $20-25 CAD just for a beige bottle of rubber/vinyl protectant, or #26 hi-tech yellow wax. Sheesh... Detailing products are scarce and few...you pretty much have to rely on ordering it online from the States.

    Where abouts are you from?

    Announcing our new Toolbar!

Announcing ProperAutoCare`s new and improved toolbar!

You have probably seen our post here in TID about our downloadable toolbar.
Many of you have downloaded it and are using it regularly. Thank you!

The present toolbar has been the interface behind our Tuesday Night Chats.
If you are a participant in our Tuesday Night Chats (and if you are not, please join in!), please see below in the description of the new toolbar functions regarding your NEW chat interface.

We heard, and understood, the concerns from a number of you regarding downloading and installing a toolbar.
    So, we`ve upgraded the toolbar.

It is no longer necessary to download the present toolbar.
It would would please visit our blog at www.ProperAutoCare.net (you can also just click on the PAC Blog link in the nav links at the top of TID), you will see our new toolbar load at the bottom of the PAC blog page. It may remind you of a Facebook-type toolbar.

This new toolbar will float at the bottom of your screen while you are on our blog.

Please check out the numerous features in this new toolbar.
From the left to the right we have --

Scroll to Top -- this feature allows you, with a click, to scroll back to the top of the page.
Shop PAC by Major Brands -- this is a Shop by Brand menu that will take you directly to the particular brand, without having to leave the blog page.
Our YouTube Channel -- did you know we had one? We have videos here of some of our products, and of Todd (th0001) in action. Clicking on the icon will open a window that shows all the videos in our library at present (we are adding more all the time!). Click on one of the videos and in a few seconds, that video will load and play.

Translate -- Translate our blog into 11 different languages.
Share -- Share our blog through a number of social networking sites, and e-mail.
Become a Fan -- if you have not already become a Fan on our Facebook Fan Page, this is your link to do so.
Twitter -- Keep up to date on our latest Tweets. Those tweets also include sales and specials before they go live.
Join Our Chat -- Chat now has a few upgrades. You now have to ability to add a web cam and microphone,if you want.

If you click on the "Open new Window" icon near the "X" at the top right, it will open the chat window in a separate window that is independent of the blog. So, you can have both TID and the chat open at once. Log in for the chat is by either a username (your choice, does not have to be your TID username) under the "tinychat" tab, your Twitter login, or your Facebook login....your choice.
I am working on opening up the Whiteboard feature in the chat, so that if a group of you wants to network on a project you can do so. Details when it happens.
For those of you participating in Tuesday Night Chats, and to reduce any confusion, we will be turning off the chat function on the present PAC toolbar by Monday afternoon, the 8th. From here forward, the new toolbar`s chat will be our default chat interface.
The rest of the downloaded toolbar`s functions will still be there.

Latest News Flashes -- This feature allows us to post a quick update...like an un-advertised sale, new products just in, or such, directly to you.
And at the far right, the double chevrons are a way to minimize the toolbar, if you wanted to. After minimizing, click on them again to restore the bar.

We hope you like the new toolbar as much as we do.
    Please give us your feedback.
If you have any questions about the toolbar, feel free to PM me.
You, the members of TID, make this forum, the great place it is!

I use No Script and to get the tool bar to show you have to allow wibiya.com. What is wibiya.com?

They are a great bunch of developers in Tel Aviv.
To put any concerns you might have at rest, this toolbar is very safe.
Remember, it is very similar to the toolbar on Facebook, or over at C-Net.

I worked with this for quite a while before launching it.

    No need to download anything.
The toolbar will appear on the ProperAutoCare.net site after the page loads.

It showed up when I configured No Script to accept wibiya.com.

I did not care for the toolbar since it wanted to be my default search bar and still exists in firefox despite uninstalling it.
