I just got my can today. I am going to put it on tomorrow. I am sooooo excited!! I have 2 questions first.

    1. Can I put one final coat of SG on before I put the Pinnacle on or do I have to wait a day to do that?

    2. I haven`t used a can of wax for so long that I am not sure if I remember how to get it out. This looks pretty solid. Do I need to do anything to soften it up or should I just get a little to smear on the applicator? Once it is on the applicator is there any special way of applying it? Cirlces or up and down?

Hmm...I guess that was more like 3 or 4 questions. Thanks for any advice.

It would be best to wait a day to apply the PPG. Apply the PPG with a foam applicator, very lightly, wipe it in circles. Work a small area at a time. Immediately switch to a Miracle Towel and continue wiping the PPG until it buffs off. Do not let it dry on.

It`s great stuff. I use it on my Boxster.

on letting the SG stay on for a day before starting the PPG application and applying to one section at a time, then grabbing a MT and wiping it off. Do not let it dry. Just go around the car wiping on and wiping off with no drying time.

I personally use a bumper to bumper light sweeping motion with some of the PPG on the included foam applicator. You should be able to use it very easily without altering it. It looks hard, but it wipes on so easily. I do not get to work in such a clean and spectacular garage like Brad, so if I cause a scratch its going to be linear and not in a slight circle. Thank goodness this has not happened to me yet, but I prepare for the worst.

Did you read the included pamphlet about the layering of PPG? I found a difference after two coats with 12 hours inbetween them.

Gosh only if I had the pictures on my labtop and not over in NJ, in my uncles camcorder memory stick. I`ll get them soon.

    You`ll love the PPG!

hmmmm......decisions decisions........ More SG and wait a day for the PPG or just go right to the PPG.....hmmmm............ I AM SO TORN!!!! I just hate dilemas like this. I have 10 coats on of SG right now I think. I just put on another one on Saturday. I think I`ll just go straight to the wax and then do it again on Thursday.

How much should I get on the applicator before I start applying it to the car?

IMHO, I would think at ten coats of sg you are entering the land of diminishing returns! Try out the pg for a change and do a few layers.. I don`t use pg but with Blitz I only make a few light swipes across the tub o`wax before lightly applying in a manner similar to Jason`s.

Oh yeah, great pic BRAD B!

I`m a big, big fan of the Pinnacle Paste Glaze. Awesome wax in my opinion. One of the many great things about this product is that it is a real breeze to apply and buff out. As Brad mentioned, don`t allow it to sit too long before buffing it out. Foam pads are indeed best.

Brad, your pic is just stunning. Great job!

so it will be sort of a `wax on, wax off` type thing right? should I do it one body panel at a time like with AIO?

a door panel, the trunk lid, 1/2 the hood, just like AIO, at least thats how I apply it. Then just buff it off while still wet. No drying time needed.

I applied it to my car yesterday and my wifes car today. Holy cow what a shine! I love this stuff. If I wait for a week and a half to put on the second coat will that be enough time?

    Some questions-->

Why don`t you let PPG dry on the car? What will happen?

What kind of durability does PPG give? Week? Month? 2 Months? And how do you judge when it is gone when using over KLASSE SG?

    Thanks

DK, it will just be harder to buff out. The durability for me is a good 3-4 weeks.

I would say one week is more than enough time in between coats.

Don is correct about the durability of PPG. Its not that durable, get about 3 weeks from a coat, but its so easy to use.

    Car suggestion please...

OK, I am helping a friend shop for a car. Here is his criteria:

4 door sedan, where 4 adults can ride comfortably

    Less than 2 years old

    Less than 20K miles

Large enough for the owner to fit comfortably (6`6" tall)

    Here`s the kicker...something for under $16k.

My initial thoughts were an off lease Impala, or Buick LaCrosse. I also thought about a slightly used Mitsubishi Galant (since they depreciate like yesterdays bread), but wasn`t sure how he would fit.

Any other ideas? This would be a vehicle the owner would like to keep for 7-10 years, and be able to run up to 100,000-120,000 miles.

    That sounds like my criteria!

I`m 6`4" and 290. I bought my 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP last year $13,600 (with 28,000 miles).

There is plenty of room for a big guy, it runs great (Supercharged V6 280hp) room for 4 comfortably and it gets 25mpg. (30 hiway). Very smooth and quiet ride also.

I still have the original window sticker from the first owner... $30,029.
