I bought some 2000 grit sandpaper to work with the touch up paint on my Maxima. I did a test on a spot and the sandpaper worked fine to level it off. Now the next question is whether I use a mild rubbing compound to clear all the scratches out. Would Perfect-It work in a situation like this?

I`ve had good luck using Wizards Turbo Cut, then FI2 and finally Wizards Finish Cut to get rid of the sanding marks left by the 2000 grit paper. I`ve not used Perfect-It so I`m not sure which product of mine is comparable. Just be patient and take your time and you should be OK.

I use Perfect-It II fine Cut Rubbing Compound by hand to remove the haze caused by wet sanding. Takes a couple passes, but then is ready for protectant.

Judging from everyone`s reaction, I can assume that I am taking the correct course of action.

Reflections Detailing of Utah in a Magazine

I thought it was cool I was written up in national magazine for Car wash and Detailers. Check it out. I don`t know where this will take Reflections Detailing in the state of Utah, but its fun to see me in a mag!
