    The Barber`s Chair...and car detailing...

As some of you know, it can be difficult to get all the same detailing products in Canada, as you have in the USA. Luckily there are two online vendors that carry Blackfire products for those who don`t have US mailing addresses like myself.

In any event, we (Canucks) are always on the lookout for new places that carry detailing products, which brings me to my story...

I`ve been reading a lot lately about how you can get Zaino in Canada OTC at a place called "The Barber`s Chair". So, I`m thinking if this place really exists, it must be a metaphoric name for some cool "guy shop". So, I do a bit a research and find out there is one such store about 15 minutes from my house, so off I go to the mall for a rare appearance.

I had scoped out the store location before I arrived so it would mean minimal contact with "mall world" (I am extremely allergic to the mall). In through one department store and whammo, there was "The Barber`s Chair".

Can`t be!!! There is NO way this place could have anything, IT IS A REAL BARBER`S SHOP, except that it is kind of a high end place with fancy hair products that my wifey buys and brings home and tells me "they are better for my hair".

My natural instinct was to tuck tail and head for the door, but from afar, I noticed some rather familiar looking bottles. Low and behold, The Barber`s Chair carries THE ENTIRE ZAINO LINE!!! Yup, right beside the Biolage and Joico was Zaino! Not just a bit of Z2Pro or some Z6 but the ENTIRE line, including clay, ZFX, Z8 etc...

The prices are a bit outrageous (even higher than Zaino Canada`s prices) but I was amazed to find automotive detailing products in (effectively) a hair salon (because it`s a bit too high end to really be a barber shop).

    Go figure!

Cool! If you need a detailing product, it`s just around the corner!!!!

We have a local supplier here in Kansas City. It`s called KC Trends. A custom wheel shop. Not very many people know about it because they don`t advertise.

But if I need a fix, they`re right here in town!

Seems like PBE stores are always the most helpful.

True, Nick, but for me, it`s been difficult to find even a PBE that "gets" detailing.
