Mi Amigo !
I have always loved the Allman Brothers Band because they sounded Exactly like their Studio work when they played LIVE !!!
Incredible musicians, music writing and command of all instruments..
Regarding IMOER - Dickey Betts wrote once how he went down to the Rose Hill Cemetery, Macon Georgia, for inspiration when he was writing this song.
After several days, he completed it, did not have a title for it, noticed the headstone next to where he had been sitting all those days and it said -
"In Memory of Elizabeth Jones Reed", so he decided to use that name because the spot there had provided him with so much peace and inspiration..
The 2 drummers on this song absolutely Kill It !!! The little drum break before the end of the song is absolutely stunning to hear loud..
Love all their work - again, not many groups can play live and sound as great as in Studio with a lot of extra "help"..

third day
Today -
"Gloria in D, RV589" Choir of King`s College, Cambridge, England
Antonio Luccio, Vivaldi, "Il Prete Rosso".., Baroque composer, some 40 years before Handel, Mozart, Haydn, Bach, and all the rest.. He set the bar incredibly high..
Incredibly stunning harmonies, instruments, and voices..
If this is what Angels sound like, (and I have to believe it is), I will be so happy to participate when I get there..

Today: Kerri Chandler - Rain - YouTube
Planning to make a mix with it soon.
Today -
Beatles - "Revolver" , 1966 = 48 years ago !
They had started experimenting in the Studio with doubling the standard 4-track master tape to add more music sources, tape loops, music played backwards, voice through Leslie-box, and more..
A brand new Recording Engineer started his first day on the job with this album !!! He totally got behind their ideas and took them all to a level unheard of back then..
Every song is different in such a unique way !
I only listen to CD`s and get much more out of them through good equipment and speakers.. This album has some incredible things in it..
Track - 14 - "Tomorrow Never Knows" - incredible - everything !!! The Tom Drum was half covered with a towel to get the first beat and then the second 2 beats were played on the skin...
No one was doing anything like this back then...
Merry Christmas !!!

Not much of a Christmas Music Fan, but have to listen to this at least once a year.
