Toyota to build the Tacoma

in the San Antonio, Texas plant previously dedicated to the Tundra. The move is scheduled to add @ 1,000 new employees. This move will put the plant at full capacity for the first time since it opened in `06. Good news for Texans.

They were being built in California / NUMMI in the joint Toyota/GM plant, but then GM bailed on Toyota and left them holding the bag which resulted in the plant being closed.

Or something like that.

Glad to know they`re coming back here instead of being built in Mexico/Baja California. I`m glad to see at least some automakers bringing jobs to the US.
