It`s a girl!!!!!

I just wanted to share in our excitement...we got our new puppy last night and so far she seems to be happy and healthy!

Her name is Morgan (as in Captain Morgan) and she`s a 10 week old, 1.3 lb Pomchi (Pomeranian-Chihuahua). And for only 1.3 lbs, she`s got one heck of a set of lungs on her as she kept us up throughout the night.

By the way, the white dog is our 12 year old American Eskimo, Kody and so far, he`s a little scared around Morgan...I think he thinks she`s a squirrel. ;-)

My other dog eats a ton so yes, this one`s little appetite will be nice. I can imagine her eating about 4 morsels of food and saying that she`s `full`.

Plus...when she`s bad, she`s small enough that I can set her in the bath tub for a `time-out`.

Congrats. I like quiet dogs so little high strung dogs aren`t my first choice but they sure are cute. A friend of mine has a pomeranian that is the coolest dog I have ever been around and fairly quiet so there is hope for yours.

The mom was 5 lbs and the dad was 9.

So somewhere in that range I suppose...unless she turns out to be a freak of nature and grows to 40 or 50 lbs.

By the way...I thought about naming her `70 Mach 1` in honor of you.

Wow...this little dog is yipey so far. We got three hours of sleep the first night, so I thought last night would be better.

She yapped for 2 hours straight...non-stop. I figured she`d get tired and quit but no luck. So I got down on the floor and laid by her crate thinking it would calm her and she`d go to sleep...which it did. But the minute I climbed back in bed, she started yappin` again. So...on the floor I stayed all night and the wife, puppy and myself finally got 4 hours of sleep or so.

Sheesh...I hope we can break her of this crap!

Not to mention, we found out last night that she has fleas, so we had to treat her for that and clean the house real good as well. Never in our 12 years of owning a dog have we had fleas, but of course this `little one` would be shipped to us with fleas included.
