Every Thursday, they have a Pig Roast at Ians Tropical Grill in Stuart FL. This was my first time. $20 all you can eat pig with guava chipotle bbq sauce, cheesy mashed potatoes, asian collard greens, cole slaw, apple sauce, butter bread and corn bread. Also, their entire wine list is 50% off and all of their regular entrees are $15.15.

I normally low carb, but loosen up on the weekends(my days off). Usually means a good meal Monday night. So, tonight I went to the butcher shop up the street and got myself a 16oz ribeye steak. Made a salad, and a baked potato, poured some cold beer.

The steak, right out of the oven, also in view is the cast iron pan used to cook it:


My salad- spinach with tomatoes, onions, croutons, shaved parm. Asiago peppercorn dressing with a few drops of balsamic and olive oil, plus a bunch of freshly ground pepper:


I always slather the steak with butter, but today I added sriracha and sesame oil:


Steak and baked potato with butter, sour cream and pimento cheese:


Washed down with Peroni:


And just for good measure, a cut in shot!

not a great pic... But something I made today. Grilled vegetable terrine with olive pistou, arugula salad and Asiago black pepper lavash. In the terrine is heirloom carrots, roasted red and yellow bell peppers, asparagus, eggplant, tomato confit and portobello`s- set with a tomato water aspic, wrapped in squash and zuchinni(broiled)).

Didnt sell well any but I thought it came out nice.

Had pizza at work friday. And thanksgiving dinner will be this sunday at her parents house. Due to everyones work.

I have a rule when I cook a big fat steak like that and it comes out of the broiler looking really nice... I yell out- pretty much at the top of my lungs- "Thats a NICE lookin` steak right there, boy!"

Our early turkey dinner was great Sunday! Had leftovers today for lunch. Going to be roast beef here at home Thursday.

Made myself a big bowl of pasta tonight. Fresh pasta(store bought), crema I mushrooms and a garlicky balsamic pomodoro sauce, finished with fresh sage and basil. Topped with plenty of Parmesan, black pepper and olive oil. And of course, garlic bread! Good thing the gf is at her place for the night...



and to drink? Just arrived today as part of my Tasting Room order...
