It was burger week here in Montreal I got a chance to try two different places.
Above: Le Gourmet Burger
Beef burger cooked on real wood charcoal, topped with a sautéed onion, fig and walnut chutney on a bed of arugula leaves, served in a three olive, rosemary and feta artisanal bun.
Above: Notre-Boeuf-De-Grace
6oz beef patty (ground fresh daily), house made espresso maple bacon jam, house smoked pulled pork, house made Bourbon BBQ sauce, Monterey Jack cheese, house made coleslaw, fried pickles.
Note: The first burger won with an overwhelming number of votes in one week (8000+ votes)
2nd one looks better to me. I like real burgers, not yuppified.

Cooked me a big steak for dinner. No veggies or nothing. Just a NY strip and a beer.
Came across a technique of freezing a steak, then cooking it from frozen in an extremely hot cast iron pan. Once you get the nice char on both sides, finish in the oven for about 6 minutes. Allow to rest on a plate with butter smeared over it. Other than the smoke, it`s an easy steakhouse style steak cooked at home.
This is plate 1 of 2 of kielbasa and sauerkraut from last night... It`s from a local butcher that makes the stuff there.
Yeah... I eat off paper plates cuz I`m too lazy to wash dishes or empty the dishwasher.
Local goodness.
You get get this made right anywhere but here... Tomato pie.
