This always reminds me of the movie "Sleeper" where Woody Allen wakes up in the future to find all the "bad" things are good and the good things are bad.

Coconut oil, loaded with natural saturated fats and so good on popcorn, is making a re-appearance as health food because it is all natural, GMO free, etc.

My wife is looking over my shoulder as I read this last post. She wants to know if you`ll take us to dinner if we stop by?

Sushi today with one of my favorites - Live sweet shrimp (well alive and kicking till they dispatch it right in front of us)

I have to ask, what kind of roll sushi is the top one on the second picture and what is the bottom one on the second picture? The red things looks almost like red ginger, but that doesn`t make sense to have so much ginger on top of sushi.

The top roll has mango, shrimp, and crab inside and topped with tuna, tabiko, and a spicy mayo

Bottom roll is a mix spicy fish, Thai chilies, and yellow tail inside, then deep fried and topped with spicy mayo, a sweet sauce, some crunchies, and habanero Tobiko (the red stuff).

I would have never guessed mango. Not something you could find easily in Hawaii. Yes, you can get mango here, but never seen it on sushi here. Probably because most sushi here is savory and not too sweet. The tuna pictured or Ahi as we call it here looks a little light in color. Most ahi for sushi or sashimi (cut and served by itself, yum!) is a darker red (not carbon monoxide treated pink). I`m a sucker for raw fish (sushi, sashimi or poke). Thanks for sharing!

    Re: Lunch/dinner thread.

Dinner last night, just forgot to take pictures of the final product - It was actually pretty good tasting despite preconceived feelings many people have for the stuff without ever trying it.
