    Google Earth??

The other day I was using Google earth, I am amazed by that site...and I could view everything perfect...see the house, buildings and all....then last night I logged in and it would show me an area but not the detailed map like before...is there something that I need to change in the settling?

Google earth mostly covers urban areas. Areas of vast agriculture are usually left as a blur. If you happen to live in that area they probably didn`t do a detailed area just for your house. Google Earth is perfect for site seeing around the globe, seeing famous monuments, pyramids of Egypt. If you look hard enough you can even see the Great Wall. I have no idea why they left those areas out but i guess the Google gods feel they are of little significance. I say, if you are surveying the whole planet...why not the whole planet? Hope that helps!

The first time that I went onto the site I could see my house and the block that I live on in decent description....yesterday I went back onto the site and I could see the city that I live in but when I zoom in its just a blue screen...seems to me like I have lost the connection to something...not sure

Dave are you using the Google Earth program on your computer? I`ve used that before and it sure was cool. But now I just go to maps.google.com and do the same thing and it doesn`t take up any space on your computer.

You have to give MSN live maps a try. You can view some stuff in 3D, it`s just crazy. Kinda scary in a way. I was able to pan around my house and check out my landscaping. The images are from this late spring. I even zoomed in on my old apartment and spotted my truck backed up to the door getting loaded (I was moving at that time.) You just have to click the picture of the 3D buildings in the upper left corner.

I zoomed in down the road from me so you can see the detail. You can still zoom in one level from where it`s at now.

P.S. Are links like this alright to post here? Hope so. If not, sorry and feel free to remove them.

I like taking the tour of the Grand Canyon in Google Earth. Makes you feel like you`re taking a helicopter ride through it.
