    New Honda Civic 2016+

I keep seeing the new Civic`s around here. I like the look. Does anyone here own one of the newer ones? I may look into getting one in the next few years. They used to have great reliability, do they still? How can I forget, how is Honda Paint

I`ve heard good things about the new civic. Roomy on the inside, almost the size of an Accord.

As for the paint, I have a 14 Accord, can`t imagine it being too different. People gripe about Honda paint but for the price segment I don`t know why. It`s relatively soft but I was able to polish mine to perfection. Hondas typically don`t have real serious orange peel, so that`s nice. Biggest issue is you`ll see older Hondas with bad clearcoat failure but I wouldn`t expect that to be an issue for an Autopian.

I hear the same, that the paint is soft. Polish it up good and put a coating on it and you should be golden.

    Re: New Honda Civic 2016+

Bought a 2016 LX-P Coupe (wife`s winter car) in October 2016 and think it`s a great little car. Even on the lower level LX-P it has keyless entry, push button start, moonroof, Auto Trans (CVT) at what I think was around $18k, maybe a bit more.

It`s a neat little car, nothing fancy but nicely comfortable and efficient.

Has had 2 recalls already (radio software reprogramming and 3rd brake light cover coming unattached and hanging down) and my local dealer is clown city but still very happy with the car.

First week it was home it got a light polish and then I coated the heck out of it.

Sheet metal pretty thin; on the hood, a soaked Gyeon Smoothie mitt will make the hood buckle/pop for a second in the middle.

I like it when I drive it.

Pretty typical of the compacts. Ex had a Corolla hat was the same way. I was afraid I was gonna break the thing just trying to wash it. Getting the polisher going really freaked me out.

I just bought my wife a 17 Accord

    This one

We also test drove the Civic and HR-V. The Civic was the same price and had a much rougher ride. The throttle response was jerky in comparison. Road noise was much louder.

The HR-V was a whole lotta Oh heck no.

I didn`t notice the clear being all that soft. Pretty average actually.
