Gee, I`m glad I was able to buy from him before that. He even used my comment about his towels on his website.

Re: DFTowel, I never had an issue with the few orders I placed. Still have all of those towels either in service or "NIB". One of the nicest towels I own.

I find the towels to be among the very few that don`t eventually lint. It`s too bad they didn`t stay on the market and make advancements over time.

Yes, I miss looking at ADS and their Meg`s Professional Detailer Line that you could buy in 8-ounce samples (I think; maybe it was 16-ounce) to try out.

This thread kinda crosses over to detailing products and/or manufacturers you don`t hear about any more that used to sell direct.
    My favorite was Moose Wax.

Ah yes, ClearKote. When I first came here--Vanilla Moose on windows. I do miss Quik Shine, isn`t that the one they used to tout for cleaning aircraft windows? I know I found it good for getting the salt spray off the windshield in the winter, without leaving a smeary mess behind when it was below freezing, or cold, anyway. At least that`s the way I remember it. I think I still have a little Quik Shine somewhere, I`ll have to dig that up. Does anyone remember if you bought a gallon they would send you a gallon jug with a little bit of concentrate in the bottom (to save on shipping costs/spillage) and tell you to fill it up with water when you got it?

Leo was always OK when I dealt with him, other than the expected "my towels are wonderful" stuff. I still have a scad of both the DFT/CBT versions, and eh, they`re OK but not, IMO, all that special. Like all my other cotton textiles, they eventually get stiff and will mar paint, which my synthetic MFs don`t do.

I’m glad I never used mine enough for them to get stiff yet. Sounds like one day they’re going to make expensive oil checking rags.

I`d probably worry about lint...I usually use my used GG Polypro Window Wipes for the dipstick. The CBT/DFTs probably get used mostly for Spraywaxing the black trim.
