    Memory Test

I`m doing some research on some training that I`m doing at work and I found this to be interesting. Try it out and see how smart you are. Honestly, I barely squeaked by with 20 of them. The rest of them weren`t even `Do`h!` questions either. I simply didn`t know them.

    Memory Test
In 1980, two psychologists at the University of Washington and University of California, Irvine, compiled a list of general-knowledge questions and posed them to their undergraduate students in order to get scoring norms. In other words, they wanted to get an idea about how a person with a "normal" memory would perform on this memory task, so that the questions could be used to test other people’s memory. These questions start out easy, but get harder as you go along. The number next to each answer shows the percent of college students who answered that question correctly. If you can answer more than 20, that puts you in the top third of the sample of college students the questions were tested on.

13 wrong. What ticks me off is that I knew but could not bring forth the information on a couple.

    Re: Memory Test

I didn`t feel bad about missing the last few. I knew they were weighted to get progressively harder. Kick yourself really hard if you missed any of the first ten or so.

I missed 5, they weren`t consecutive. I slipped and got Thor Hyrerdahl`s ship the Kon Tiki in there. If they would have asked Lady Godiva`s horse`s name I knew it was called Lucky. I figured American Gothic was the name of a punk band.

I missed 17...I didn`t know most of those that I missed to begin with. So I guess I`m not in the top third of my class (I`m not)

    lol
Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?"
Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."

After three tries, I still get to about #9 and can`t remember why the heck I`m reading these stupid questions.
