IMO it`s an opportunity to Do the Right Thing, so I hope everybody who gets the $ does that, according to their definition of same.

Check will be used for family/household expenses. The real wealth is in the 2 - 60 roll cases of TP we were able to snag on Amazon, some of which is charitably being shared with local friends and neighbors.

Good news this is not taxable, you do not have to include it with your income when you file next year.

Good answers! On a few sites I frequent... the answers given bare their lack of wisdom to the world to see!

Not Covid-related, but there are plenty of people that don`t have and will never have Covid that are hurting big time through this, e.g. out of work for long periods of time who need food banks. Why are you so questioning of my motives??

You preach, I like to know a bit about the preacher.

It’s kind of you to donate.

Local food banks are a good option. There are people really struggling to put food on the table.

    Re: Stimuls check

I think it very noble of those who are in a position to make a donation to others in need. I’m happy to see we have members both in that position whether receiving a stimulus check or others who are simply able and willing to do just this. You’re awesome.

I read a metric on one of my news feeds today that said 1 in 7 Americans are now unemployed. There are a lot of people that can use the help.

I plan in donating a good portion of my check if i get one. Think it’s a valid idea. Will donate if I don’t get one.

You telling people what to do with their money....I feel it’s a valid question. If your going to tell someone what to do with theirs.... you should share what your going to do with yours....

    Re: Stimuls check

We belong to two churches in two states. We sent off donations to each earlier this week. Our AZ church has a large campus that they have opened to nurses/doctors who need a place to crash so they don`t have to possibly contaminate their families. One doctor is living in a tent in his garage to stay away from the family. The church has overnight facilities and is close to the Mayo Clinic and others. Earlier, before Shelter in Home took effect in AZ, the church has a "posse" of us who went to Walmart every morning to buy TP, if available, and food for the elderly/families in the parish who could not get out or in need of help.
