    Arrow Thanksgiving week

What is everyone`s plans and how does your week run? Things have been brutal at work for a couple months now. 10 hour shifts with some Saturday work. Did 55.5 hours last week! This week I took off Friday to have a 4 day weekend! BUT this Sat is in the books to work if needed. So worse case that would bust up my 4 days off and I would have to go in Sat. STUPID HUH? Plan on decompressing and getting my sanity back. We already had Thanksgiving dinner Sunday so this Thursday it will be a roast at home. Wishing everyone and safe and happy Thanksgiving!

I`m off from work for the entire week. First vacation this year myself. We were supposed to drive up to New Jersey to spend some time with cousins and family. It`s a tradition we started a few years ago before the kids and planned to do every year but the kids fell sick with the flu so we had to cancel.

Hope you get some much needed rest and time with the family. Sorry for your crazy work weeks!

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and safe Thanksgiving!

    Re: Thanksgiving week

Working.... kinda. I`ll be at work Wednesday night into Thursday. Although from 12am to 7am it`ll be considered overtime, guess it`s a perk of being 3rd shift. While my family is going a couple hours away to my sisters I`m staying home and sleeping, lol!

Working an extra 10 hour shift this week myself, so some extra money going into replacement truck fund (long story...).

No work, but catching up on class. Also installing my Christmas gift to my mother, clear lens for the projectors in her RX350, whilst the headlights are out getting the exterior polycarbonate lens refinished. If you guys want to know exactly what I am talking about with the RX350 projector lenses, google/YouTube “RX350 clear lens upgrade” or “RX350 projector retrofit”.

Nothing big for me, just a larger than normal meal for Thanksgiving and watching Football.

    Re: Thanksgiving week

Should have my 4 days off. Sounds like we will not be working Saturday. And I was informed yesterday that I have one more vacation day left that I was unaware of to use by the end of the year.

    Re: Thanksgiving week

Thanksgiving off for me, but working Friday. I guess I am glad to not be working the weekend! (and no details planned either, other than my wife`s car). We are headed to my B-I-L`s - interested to see what he has done with his new shop. The last time we were there the 4800 sq. ft. building had just been finished - 2 side bays and one end bay. He does upholstery, and now he has more than enough room for his equipment and 2 dismantled cars.

After decades of going away for TG, after we had to skip that for a couple years we`ve found we`re happier just staying home.

I work Wednesday night, hopefully finish up around 2am.Production finishes at midnight but I have to wait for the production supervisors and team leaders to finish up.I am the last one out the door, set the alarm when I leave. Then a 30 minute commute home and jump in the wife`s SUV for a 5 hour drive to FL to visit the inlaws.Drive back home Sunday which I am not looking forward to,that interstate is always brutal the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

Sawyer65- At least TG Day is usually decent traffic-wise, at least relatively speaking.
