    Taillight chrome is gone ...

    Forgive the dirty car ...

I started with RUSTOLEUM Peel Coat. Fortunately it lived up to its name since it didn`t want to properly coat the "plastic chrome" of the taillights. UN-fortunately, I tried a few other things before realizing that KRYLON FUSION paint works great on this stuff, so up close and personal, there are flaws in my paint job, but only someone who pays a lot of attention to detail (like everyone on this forum) will notice.

Again, forgive the dirty car ...

Did you paint them while on the car or remove them first. I`m trying to redo the chrome window trim that was badly painted black and is now peeling. I considered having someone wrap it, but they said I have to get ride of all the paint on them first. To do so I`ll probably have to take all the trim off the car and if that`s the case I may as well just repaint them myself.

I removed them from the car, it was easy. Using a trim removal tool, I pried out the bottoms a bit, they came out easily, then the tops and the whole piece (4 of them) slid out effortlessly.
