This sux jrock! I will definitely keep him in my thoughts. Hits really close to home since my dad Was diagnosed with Cancer in April and he passed away in May. Only 61 years old. I really hope he comes out ok.

Sorry to hear about your father. Sending prayers. My father had quadruple bypass surgery and a valve replacement at the same time. The recovery process stinks but they do multiple surgeries like this a day. When I went to visit my dad afterwards I was lucky enough to be there when the surgeon came in. He said this type of thing is a straight forward procedure. To me anything heart related isn`t straight forward!

I guess what I`m trying to say is that he will bounce back like nothing. My father is still going strong with no side effects.

So my dad had a stint put in a couple months ago. Found out yesterday he needs a full bypass. They’re operating Monday. I’m on vacation, won’t be able to get there until end of next week. I don’t usually bother God with my problems, as I’m sure he has more important things to worry about, but this is different. If you feel led to do so, Any prayers, thoughts or good vibes would be appreciated.

What is important to you concerning someone whom you obviously care about is important to God. The Good Word says in I Peter 5:7, "Casting all your cares upon him, for he careth for you" means exactly that: He cares about us and whatever may happen in our life.

I am not here to sermonize or preach about the existence of God and some may question the validity and appropriateness of using a detailing forum to talk about God, religion, or acts of faith (or deities or karma or just plain good or bad luck). I am here to give support to a fellow Autopian I respect and has reached out to this detailing community to remember his father who is undergoing some heath challenges at this time, and that is what I doing.

Dad went in for surgery about 2 hours ago. Got a text from his wife. No updates as of yet. Not sure how long the surgery is supposed to take.

Alright, Dad is out of surgery. Triple bypass, dr said it went well. I’ll be seeing him on Friday.

i think he got 2 & 1 ... that`s good .. the two from the chest like mine, give better recovery and longevity .. the legs give the veins usually ..

What kind of diet is he gonna be on after this? Obviously different dr’s might make different suggestions but what did you have success with?
