Brandt, as someone who has went through long physical therapy and recovery. The focus has to be on the little things. For me it was really small stuff, like being able move a finger a couple of degrees further. Later on I was able to finally able to set bigger goals and celebrations. It`s not easy, but I found looking at every little increase helped me to stay positive. All that stuff I use to do was hone in a instant, but recovery was very slow. The good news is your prognosis should be closer to normal again physically. Keep plugging away you can do it.
hang in there Brandt--if you need anything give us a call
Jay

So, so ,so, SO late in getting this message out and reading anything in this forum. My sincere best wishes, prayers to God above, and thoughts to you as you recovery from this life-threatening health event. You know how much I consider you a genuine, bonafied Autopian All-Star and how much your posting and sharing of photos and typed text of your detail experiences mean to ALL of us within this forum, professional and hobbyist alike.
I, personally, (and I am sure I speak for the entire Autopian detailing community), hope you will be well enough at some point to continue to posting your detailing exploits. It sure would not be same forum without you. But I know you need to focus on what is most important with your health and life and family.
Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in this road to recovery, even if we cannot be there in Texas physically with you.

Thank you, sir.
Update for the thread:
EKG ran today at cardio appt. Doc says I`m on the road to recovery.
Blood pressure was 119/79
No new damage found.
He told me an interesting baseball analogy: I`m at the plate with two strikes and not much if any margin for error.
Follow up scheduled for 3 months from now.
He said to take one month off work post discharge (June 19th) and get used to my new lifestyle.
Said any discussion on exactly why this happened is purely academic as we are here and it`s done so now we just move forward.
Smoking and stress were two main contributing factors and probably an unlucky dice roll on genetics as this does not run in my family but I could pass these genes on to my children shall I ever have any.
Cardio rehab starts Thursday and I look forward to getting the `ole ticker back into Autopian quality detailing shape. (Already have two clients patiently waiting on me to get better and a 3rd for my 3rd annual charity backpack detail raffle which sold out last week.)

512Detail- Ah, glad to hear the good report!
I`ll be interested to hear what they do for the Cardio Rehab. Interesting info from recent studies has challenged the Conventional Wisdom.

Guess who got some cardio this AM before sun rose?
Rinsed with soap and water at coin op (7 quarters) drove on a road in Mexico to dry
Wiped down slowly with spray and wipe
Went back 30 mins ago for some Merlin action
Yes I did in fact block the line to swirl o matic.
