512Detail- You`re sounding pretty, uhm...OK...the last day or two, judging by your posts here.

Heh heh, good to see your sense of humor is intact
Funny about Dr. Pepper, it just never quite tastes the way I remember it tasting ~45 years ago. Not bad, but just not as swell as I remember it. You avoiding it over the sugar?
Maybe its not tasting like what you`d recalled isn`t all bad then
You gonna educate yourself about diet/exercise/etc.? We gonna see you on the Health & Fitness thread?
EDIT: Hey, not like I`m some anti-soda nut, I have two cans of Sprite weekly

Indeed, it is!
WOW. Remembering what it tasted like 45 years later? The "new" Twinkies don`t taste like they used to before the shut down and came back (under new ownership?)
Every now and then I take a 1-2oz shot of Cherry Coke. I stopped drinking soda pop several years ago. Bad for me, as it contributes to my kidney stones.
I`ve been avoiding that thread!!!! Bad me. I`ll work my way over again soon.
I drink maybe 1 can of Sprite a month. Well, combined. I`ll have a little here, and a little there.
JustJesus- IMO it`s also not so bad that the Twinkies don`t taste right to you
I used to have a can of Cherry Coke annually, it`d start to taste off to me if I had it regularly. Not drinking soda/sweetened drinks (let alone diet sodas ) for *whatever reason* is probably good. Just not something humans oughta consume (like so many tasty things..sigh..).
And yeah, I`ve bee waiting for you to show up on that thread with a progress report What`d we say...2 years to get in shape? Just wait, by that time (when I turn 60 in even better shape than I`m in now) I expect you to be seeing those abs!
512Detail- At the risk of sounding all Mr. Brightside, IMO having this wakeup call *now* gives you a lot better chance of making some lasting improvements. The earlier people start getting in shape the better they do when they`re at the "stuff starts going wrong" age.

512Detail- Yeah, that`s the spirit
Kale, huh? No thanks, though I eat lots of cruciferous veggies. Luckily I do think broccoli/cauliflower/etc. taste OK, no idea why!
I know exactly what you`re talking about. Up until about a year ago there was still an original Dr Pepper plant not far from here. They still made it the same way as they always had. Dr Pepper finally sued them and they had to drop the name and change the formula slightly. If they changed it I know it wasn`t by much, still tastes like the stuff I remember.
