Eh, noting that I`m No Fun sometimes...to me the whole thing is 100% negative A WaxWaster would be somebody who does stuff that doesn`t need doing and/or does it wrong. Sorry, sorry...and I know you`ve heard that opinion from me before so this is probably especially bad...guess I just couldn`t pass up an opportunity to be a [jerk] again. But I *DO* think that and somebody else, say...a potential customer...might see it that way too; I`d never let a self-described "Wax Waster" within a mile of my vehicles if I were shopping for a Pro.

Just remember... "WaxWaster" is the same as "WaxMaster" with an inverted "W".

Then again, WaxMaster is a trade-name for those large bonnet buffers sold everywhere.

My suggestion for this domain name? Start a listing of what to do with now-seemingly obsolete carnauba waxes
(I did: please see Re Purposing Nuba)

I can see the potential negative connotation. I view things through multiple lenses.

Waxwasting, to me at least, is more of a state of mind than a literal application method or technique.

Maybe I`ll just collect pics from Autopians and post them to the site.

I really have no idea what I`ll do with it but I couldn`t resist buying it.

I get that a lot. Which logically baffles me as the person obviously can read the first W yet misses the 2nd.

Start a database with every wax known to man with its perceived qualities, price, etc. it could become a site for all things wax. Sounds like fun.

Yeah, you and I always did come at that differently, and I do recognize my, uhm.. less-than-Autopian perspective

Heh heh, sounds like WORK to me, but yeah, that would be something all right... and come to think of it, that`s something that`s conspicuous by its absence what with everything that *is* on the internet.

If you wanted to devote a lot of time and energy to it, you would have a how to site with product reviews. Use affiliate links plus ads on it. Direct the seo towards your business site.

That does sound pretty cool. Maybe I could eventually get sent wax samples to waste

    Sent ?!?!?!?!?

So then you got no "skin in the game" ?!?!?!?

Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!

I’ve caught up with the other posts in the thread . Wax waster could be someone who is obsessed with testing waxes or lsp’s. Coupled with how to’s , I dunno I’d subscribe.

If you jump in feet first, launch 1 product, then another one.

Someone once said, you can have anything you want, if your prepared to sacrifice enough for it.

I`m not looking for subscribers, just trying to see what would be fun to do with the site. I couldn`t care less if anyone views it actually. I need some practice with web design anyways.

I do like the idea of showcasing waxes on the site. Might be time to go find some hoods at the junk yard to practice wet sanding and then wax wasting .

I bet your neighbors would enjoy seeing a row of hoods on your front yard while your doing your wax testing. A new definition of "yard art". Of course this being Austin, you might start a "trend"

Heck, I couldn`t even get a second hood passed my wife!!! I tried.

Thanks for the laugh, Brandt. I couldn`t believe the domain name wasn`t already taken! Hat`s off to you.

Some interesting (and fun) ideas floating around this thread.
