    Re: Super Bowl ticket prices.

I`m a football fan, but I have never been to a NFL game. I can`t fathom sitting in the stands with thousands of others unless I had ultra premium seats that I cannot afford.

Some body has to pay for advertisers pulling out while players take a knee during the Anthem.

Not a sporting event anymore, now a Corporate Event. Average fan getting priced outta regular season tic, much less Super Bowl.

Not a big fan, but the best place and best seat to watch that game is at HOME!

    Re: Super Bowl ticket prices.

I have been wondering if the new tax laws will hurt ticket sales and especial corporate luxury box sales. Under the new law it is no longer a write off (under old law you got 50 percent write off on sports tickets under entertainment) for sporting event tickets.

Makes the justification of purchasing a nice 4K TV all the more of a
Valid arguement given game ticket and airline pricing.

    Re: Super Bowl ticket prices.

People who pay those prices fall into one of two categories - money is no object (read: well-to-do, rich, wealthy, top 1%, etc.), or they are stupid. I have a 1080p projector with screen (106") and each year I have a big Super Bowl party. Lots of food and cold beer with great, extremely comfortable seating for everyone and a constant 70 degrees. We have betting pools and games and it is a fun event for all. Even if they gave me a 50 yard line seat for nothing I would not trade it for the experience of the party with my friends. The ticket - $36,000; the party - priceless!

Fothe price of THOSE tickets you could do your own mini Grand Tour renting fancy cars around the country or other countries as well.

    Re: Super Bowl ticket prices.

Ticket pricing is utterly ridiculous nowadays. My son is nine years old and I`ve decided against taking him to a Supercross every year due to the cost.

This year I decided that I need to bite the bullet and take him. I bought two $48 tickets, that`s it, and the order total was $137.50.

My wife and I have seen Bon Jovi in concert five or six times and they`re coming to our neck of the woods soon. Tickets about twenty-six rows back cost $550 each. I`m guessing the total for two seats would be $1300–$1400. So we`re definitely not going.

I don`t know how there are sellouts at these prices.

    Jaddie -
    Wow - $550 each !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guess there will be LOTS of seat choices all the way to the night of the concert..
Too bad they are priced so high now...
Yet another reason for some of us to "still be stuck in the 70`s.. "
