I NEED a new cell phone...which one?

I just picked up the Note 8 a couple days ago. The phone has a phenomenal camera. Not to mention much faster than the s7 edge that I came from. I almost switched to Apple and got the IPhone X. I found out that they are having problems with the Face ID portion of the phone and mass quantities won`t be released till the early parts of 2018.

If you want an X, it’s looking like it’s going to be a while. The preorder thing was a mess.

You guys are all ballers. I`m using a $60 Android Phone with a Freedompop sim in it (free calls/data). More money to spend on other fun stuff.

I`d be rolling with a Samsung S8 or S8+. Not an iPhone fan at all. I also havent seen any features that the latest Note has that would make it worth spending extra over the 8+ if you want a phone that size

I went into the office last week for a meeting and my coworker had the note8. he took a few pics of my car in the parking lot and he showed me some of the functions on the phone (not sure if the s8 does this or not) but he was able to fade out the background and focus only on the car, which he said would be awesome for the pics I take..and I have to agree

I had a s7 for a week or two but it was a POS and I had the absolute worst customer service experience with both spring and Samsung and ended up sending back the phone

I just last week broke down and went from a Iphone 4 to a iphone 7. Mine was still working but not well and I had to go to the store to replace my fathers Iphone 3 as he had dropped it dented the plug in area then proceeded to jam the charge in a dozen times and bent all the connectors over. Since I was there and debating the upgrade anyways I got us matching new phones. I went with a standard 7 as it seemed like a lot more phone then I had and way more than I need and was noticeably cheaper then going with a 8 or ordering a X. I didnt want to change from apple even though I hate the ecosystem because 6 years with the same apple phone I was not ready for change I hate change.

Thats one thing about apple. They suck you into the ecosystem and its hard to get out. I can`t complain - I`ve been using iPhones since the 3g and they have met my needs while typically lasting about 3 years before I get the itch for something new and shiny.

Just bought my daughter a Note 8 as a Christmas present today. It sure looks like a pretty phone. She had a Note 4 and loved it. They gave us a bit for trade in for the old one. Hoping it is all she hopes it to be.
