Dawn Dishwashing Liquid: The claims are apparently true!

Now, dunno about that whole "Strips wax..." thing but it`s certainly not for use in automatic dishwashers...coulda sworn I did this before with no ill effects.

Been there done that, luckily it was in a house with a vinyl floor. Not so good for hardwood!

That said, I still use Dawn to strip wax, flame away!

This was quite conscious...too lazy to run up the street to get proper soap. Maybe I`ll try WG Uber rinseless next time...

You guys remember when dishwashers used to actually get dirty dishes clean? Cascade Complete has a new name:

    https://www.amazon.com/Pack-Cascade-.../dp/B00PT0324C

That dishwasher is no longer a dishwasher, it is now called a fryer.

I`ve used it in the washing machine...it was, uhm...interesting (as expected). No harm done, did rinse out OK.

Dishes, no. But the lack of hydrophobic behavior of the suds running down reminds me it`s time to coat the stainless on the appliances again.

A cup of vinegar should get rid of suds

Re: Dawn Dishwashing Liquid: The claims are apparently true!

My Wife did that same thing when we were on vacation down in the Algarve region in Portugal.
We had a nice hotel, and there were all these weird Bosch appliances in our room that we didn`t want to take the time to figure out. Took a long time to clean up, and a lot of fancy hotel towels.

The new detergents certainly don`t work well with older models. That said, we just completed a full remodel and love our new Kitchen Aid Pro Series KDTM404ESS . It`s silent when running and does a fantastic job cleaning.
