    My favorite "Rhinestone Cowboy"

Never saw the video, but heard the song 100`s of times (thanks Mom) from everything from vinyl, cassette, and CD.

And let`s not forget what a great guitar player he was. A session player before making it big. And on YouTube somewhere, there`s a clip of Glen Campbell playing the `William Tell Overture`. I had to watch it twice because I was just so completely spellbound by his talent.
Alzheimer`s took him way too early.

81 years old is pretty long life. Back in the 70`s my father looked just like him with the mutton chops and hair style. We used to kid him about it all the time. I saw on a news story about him that he played in the Beach Boys for a short time replacing one of them that was sick.

I have no idea about his personal history but publicly conveyed a good image without all the sensation.

I dunno..guess it depends what you`re used to. Though Glen outlived himself at that age, what with the Alzheimer`s.

I too thought he was a really great, and vastly under-rated, guitarist.
